Locally Grown

Seattle Public Theater is thrilled to offer the opportunity for local playwrights to minimally rehearse and present a reading of new work to the public. Playwrights are chosen through a simple application process and then selected for a public reading on an off-night of Seattle Public Theater’s mainstage season.

Locally Grown’s mission is to create a stronger relationship between Seattle Public Theater and our local playwrights by providing them with a direct connection to our Artistic & Literary Department. Locally Grown also gives our audiences the opportunity to hear developing local work, and to offer playwrights a pipeline to our season selection.
