Education Director, Resident Playwright, and Artistic Associate
Jenn Ruzumna is a Seattle based stage and film actor; artistic associate, resident playwright and educator for Seattle Public Theater. As an actor, she continues to work on many stages, and on camera in the NW film industry. She has been a proud Artistic Associate for Macha Theatre Works and is excited to continue in that role for Seattle Public Theater.
Jenn has an extensive and treasured history in education outreach and teaching. She has worked as a teaching artist for Seattle Children's Theatre, Youth Theater Northwest, Evergreen Summer Theater Program, Tacoma Actors Guild and in many after school enrichment programs. Jenn developed and continues to help run Macha Youth Voices which was inspired by Macha Theatre Works 17 Minute Stories series. In this program, Jenn is also able to utilize her experience as a playwright. Along with creative soul mate and playwriting partner, Lisa Every, she has written many pieces including Happy, Happy, Happy… and The Fifth Wave which both received world premier productions. As a playwright she has also been a mentor in a number of capacities, including Seattle Repertory Theatre’s Public Works program.
