In 2015, he will appear onstage with Theatre Machine and Seattle Theatreworks, and sometime in 2015, he will make his big-screen debut in Beach Town: “A Beach Movie of the Mind” by Seattle filmmaker (and SPT Youth parent) Erik Hammen. Steven will direct adults in 2015 as part of the Ghost Light Theatricals “Battle of the Bards.”

His classes at Seattle Public Theater have included The Secret History of Nikola Tesla, Open Carry and The Criminal Element, among many others. He enjoys photography, hiking and selling office supplies. He is on the Board for Seattle Public Theater.

Sterne has a BA in Drama and Science in Society from Wesleyan University and an MFA in Directing from the University of Washington School of Drama. For several years a long time ago, he was the emcee and director of the Late Night Show at the New City Theater. Steven is the founder and former director of the extremely ambitious, production oriented Drama Club at Greenwood Elementary, due west of the Bathhouse. He is married to Seattle playwright and frequent collaborator Jennifer Dice, and their children Olivia and Aaron are active participants in the Youth Program at SPT.
