Theater is a collaborative art; we need you! Whether you have an hour a year or an hour a day, there are many opportunities for getting involved with Seattle Public Theater and supporting our mission of creating community through the performing arts. Volunteers are currently needed in the following areas:

Board Members:
The Seattle Public Theater Board of Directors is actively seeking new board members. Our mission of Creating Community through the Performing Arts includes an award-winning professional Mainstage season and lively Youth Drama Program, located at the Bathhouse Theater at Green Lake. We are looking for creative, resourceful volunteers who have a passion for theater, a sense of adventure, great team spirit and a desire to actively participate in our community. Ideally, such individuals would be well-connected in the community, with strong relationship-building skills and a commitment to the arts. We are particularly interested in people with experience or a background in accounting, law, event planning, education/school networks, fund raising or connecting with local businesses.

Internship Program:

Seattle Public Theater accepts a small number of interns for both Mainstage and Youth Program productions. Selection is based on the person's career goals, professionalism, recommendations from professors/teachers and availability of a suitable mentor within the SPT staff. Earn community service hours and gain resume experience! For information, see our Internship page or contact Simon Irving.
